  • Because this is the start of a new school year, enhance for new energy with new outfits and school supplies. When purchasing these items, consider the student’s paht chee and keep in mind the elements that will best enhance the student’s self element. Purchase outfits or supplies in the colors that will enhance for their success. For example, if the student’s self element is weak wood, avoid red color clothing or backpack. It will be beneficial for him/her to wear green, blue or black in order to strengthen his/her element.
  • Enhance the student’s study area. Make sure that the desk is place where the student can sit facing his/her good directions. Determine what directions are good or bad by figuring out the individual’s Kua number. Use the formula below to calculate kua number.

Hanging crystals in the Northeast sector of the house will also enhance for good education luck.
  • Display the 7 level pagoda on the study table to enhance the luck of higher education. Place the carp leaping across the dragon gate next to the student’s bedroom door to bring perseverance, courage and determination.
  • Place the 3 chi lin on top of the mountains with a calligraphy brush at the back of the studying desk to bring success in all their endeavors.
  • Place the windhorse in the South sector to enhance for recognition luck, be at the head of the class, and to be at the top of the any school competition.
  • If there is an alter in the home, invite in wisdom and education luck from Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom and Knowledge.
  • Decorate the student’s laptop or phone with auspicious decals or lucky charms such as the jade cicada to bring protection and remove any obstacles in their path to success.
  • Enhance the student’s confidence and give support luck from teachers and friends by having them carry the dragon tortoise or place a dragon tortoise in the North of the bedroom or at the back of the study desk.

The Power Of Prayer Flags

They are used to bless the surrounding countryside and for other purposes. Prayer flags are believed to have originated with Bon, which predated Buddhism in Tibet. In Bon, shamanistic Bonpo used primary-colored plain flags in healing ceremonies in Nepal. Traditional prayer flags include woodblock-printed text and images.
Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The flags do not carry prayers to gods, which is a common misconception; rather, the Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all. By hanging flags in high places the Lung ta, the Windhorse, will carry the blessings depicted on the flags to all beings. As wind passes over the surface of the flags, which are sensitive to the slightest movement of the wind, the air is purified and sanctified by the mantras. The prayers of a flag become a permanent part of the universe as the images fade from exposure to the elements. Just as life moves on and is replaced by new life, Tibetans renew their hopes for the world by continually mounting new flags alongside the old. This act symbolizes a welcoming of life’s changes and an acknowledgment that all beings are part of a greater ongoing cycle.
Because the symbols and mantras on prayer flags are sacred, they should be treated with respect. They should not be placed on the ground or used on clothing. Old prayer flags should be burned. Old prayer flags are replaced with new ones annually.
Some believe that if the flags are hung on inauspicious astrological dates, they may bring negative results for as long as they are flying. The best time to put up new prayer flags is in the morning on sunny, windy days.
In Feng Shui, we use prayer flags to promote good fortune and to ward off danger. The 5 colors represents the 5 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Metal and Wood). Energize The Northwest To Benefit The Fathers

In most cases, the father is the breadwinner, the leader, the patriarch, the provider, and the source of financial resources. In Feng Shui, the father is identifiable with the character of Chien. The Chien symbol is pictured as three solid lines, firm, unyielding and unbending.
The sector that is associated with the patriarch, the father of the household, is Northwest of the home. His successes would affect the family’s fortunes and well-being; therefore, by energizing this sector, you are ensuring your family fortune and good luck is well guarded. One of the most important rule is to avoid having a bathroom or kitchen in this sector. When the bathroom is there, whenever the toilet is being use, it is like flushing the luck of the patriarch down the toilet. If that is the case, try to install bright light in the restroom and keep them turned on for at least 3 hours a day to reduce the bad effect. When the kitchen is in the Northwest, every time you use the stove, it is like you are burning up all the luck of the father. In order to reduce the fire energy, try to avoid using the stove too often and make sure to decorate the kitchen in white and have stainless steel appliances.

The Feng Shui Direction For Mothers

In Japan, the Mother Goddess is known as Amaterasu. In Greece, she is called Demeter and the Egyptian calls her Isis. The Tibetans refers to her as Tara and the Hindus calls her Shakti.
The earliest known tributes to mothers date back to the annual spring festival the Ancient Greeks dedicated to the great goddess Rhea, wife of Cronus and mother of the Olympians. Ceremonies in her honor began around 250 BC. In Chinese, the feng shui symbolism for mothers is known as KUN which represents the element of Earth. The Earth element belong to the Southwest sector.
To enhance for the luck of the Matriarch, the mother of the household, enhance the Southwest sector of the home with amethyst, rose quartz, or quartz crystal. Images and statues of the Goddess Kuan Yin, White Tara Goddess or Green Tara Goddess is excellent in this sector. However, please note that in 2013, the Southwest has the the 2 Illness Star which is an Earth star. Enhancing this area with too much Earth element is not ideal in 2013. Ruth Kennedy had a successful turn out for the Relic Tour that she hosted on June 14th, 15th and 16th, 2013, in San Luis Obispo, California. Over 900 people attended and with everyone’s help, she was able to raise $9000.00 for the Maitreya Project.
